Lyon - The Old and the New
We took a "Hop On-Hop Off" bus tour around Lyon to make use of the partial day (and night) we spent there. It is the third largest city in France with a great deal of industry so a city with a blend of the old and new. It appeared to us that there were many young professionals in the city. Lyon has a reputation for excellent food and we certainly found that to be the case. We had a well-presented and delicious meal at a downtown brasserie called the Espace Brasserie. Lyon is also known for its silk industry which began in the 19th century.
